MTAC -West LA Piano Masterclass 2020
Rufus Choi: Distinguished Guest Artist
Students will audition for the opportunity to participate in an open masterclass given by a visiting artist/scholar to perform and receive critical analysis. Open to piano students of intermediate and advanced levels studying with teachers of MTAC WLA branch.
In order to be considered for participation in this year’s event , teachers of MTAC WLA branch shall send a recording of the piece their student(s) would like to perform; either as an mp3 or as a link to a youtube recording or video .
Please select a work from intermediate or advanced repertoire. Teachers are advised to consider choosing a piece that will allow the student sufficient time to both perform and to receive coaching from the guest artist . If selected, students presented in the masterclass will be allotted a maximum of 30 mins total time for their performance/critique (as determined by the visiting artist).
The participants will be chosen by a panel comprised of board members of MTAC WLA.
Board decision is final.
