Music from all “traditional” classical repertoire is welcome .
A special talk by Susannah Tarontsi on 20-21 century music will highlight the event.
(check the CM/Royal/ABRSM syllabuses for examples) . Please avoid pieces from method books , particularly pieces that are arrangements or transcriptions )

- Branch Student recital is an event for all students of the branch at CM level 1 and above .repertoire may be from any “classical” period , (but should not include pieces from method books). Recital pieces should be memorized , except for chamber music and ensemble pieces .
Please limit your studio participants to aprox 11 mins total . - Proper recital etiquette should also be observed to create a formal event . Please advise students to dress in appropriate recital attire, no jeans or sports gear, please.
RECITAL ETIQUETTE:
- No eating or drinking in the recital venue (except water)
- appropriate applause after each performer encouraged . Please, no cheering or calling out of names (this is a recital, not a soccer match).
- remain seated during each performance . If you must exit the room, do so only during the applause between performers and return between performers as well.
- no cross talk, or extra activity that might be distracting to performers .
