We are happy to invite you to a lecture given by a wonderful pianist and teacher Roza Yoder. The theme of the lecture is:
Discovering and Nurturing the Young Artist: An East European Approach to Piano Pedagogy in the Young Years.
The lecture is based on the method of Frederik Chopin, Heinrich Neuhaus (the teacher of S.Richter, Emil Gilels, and many great Russian pianists), and other East European Masters of the piano. Róża will be guiding and demonstrating with a student the steps that need to be taken to teach the production of a beautiful and natural sound, sharing exercises needed for success in that process, and suggesting repertoire that develops artistic taste. She will also discuss the philosophy of Neuhaus’s book, Art of Piano.

The lecture will be given on Wednesday, December 14 th, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Pacific time via Zoom, and for those who are interested to attend in person, could come to Roza’s studio in Montecito Heights (please contact Marina for the address).
