Certificate of Merit™ evaluations for 2017 will be held on March 4 & 5 at Mt. St. Mary’s University
Branch Honors Recitals will be held Sunday, March 19 at Steinway Hall, 8801 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills; afternoon times TBD.

Mt. St. Mary’s University, Chalon Campus located in Brentwood. Location for Certificate of Meritâ„¢ evaluations since 2014.

Many CM documents are posted on the State website, new.mtac.org
On the homepage, click on “Certificate of Merit” (gold box in upper left corner). Then click on the “Resources” (gold stripe) for information on how to enroll students, add repertoire, etc.

October Packet documents for 2016 and 2017 now updated.
The Teachers Work Agreement (below) must be printed out, signed, dated and mailed with your Student List.

Your Student List must be printed from the State website, new.mtac.org.
November 12 postmark deadline for the two documents (Student List and Teachers Work Agreement) to be mailed to CM chair Kathleen Summerland.

Please note as November 11 is a holiday, the postmark deadline is moved to November 12. (online enrollment still ENDS October 31)
Enrollment of students will close 11:59 pm October 31, 2016
Parents will pay online between November 1 and 10.

Documents for the January packet NOT updated . State database will open January 2, 2017 to allow for the following entries: branch honors and convention recital requests, date and carpool requests; these must be entered by January 15, 2017.

CM 2016-17 Theme Recital Information-1

Important Dates below: remember initial REGISTRATION of students ends October 31, 2016; Repertoire entry may begin once teacher has started the CM application
Branch Honors and Convention Recital requests plus day and carpool requests will take place between January 2 and 15, 2017;
West LA Branch CM evaluations for Piano will be March 4 & 5, 2017.
West LA Branch CM evaluations for Voice will be Sunday, March 5, 2017.

OCTOBER 31 CM registration closes at 11:59 p.m. for everyone. No late registrations.
November 12 postmark deadline for Student List and Teachers Work Agreement

January 15 Deadline for Panel students to revert to non-Panel status

January 15 Branch deadline for teachers to enter repertoire details online for Piano and Voice
February 20, 21, and 27, 28: Piano Regional Panel Auditions (Feb. 27 for West LA branch Panel students)
February 21: Strings Regional Panel Auditions

March 7 Deadline for Online Applications for CM 2016 Branch Honors Festival Recitals, Piano and Voice
March 10 Deadline for Panel Final Application. Due to this deadline, all Panel students must have taken their CM Theory Test by this date, if they did not receive a prior Theory Exemption. No late applications are accepted; no exceptions.
